US First Lady, Mitchelle Obama, joined comedian Jay Pharoah in a rap video released on Thursday in which she drops rhymes like a real hiphop artist or maybe it is a real hiphop talent..the decision is yours.
The song titled ‘Go to College’ is part of the “Better Make Room” campaign launched by Mitchelle, in an effort to encourage teenagers to take charge of their future by enrolling for higher education.
The video, which has gone viral on social media, is a compilation that uses humour to hook the young generation.
One of FLOTUS’ (as Mitchell is also referred) lines in the track goes, “South side Chicago we all know we had to do overtime every night to make it tomorrow and everyone could really make their dream true. Hey kid, listening in Michigan that could be you.”
In a statement, the US President’s wife reacted to the video shot at White House stating, “I want to honor and empower young people who are working hard in school and pursuing their dreams — and I want to do it in a fun and fresh way…and that’s why I was so excited to film this ‘music video’ with Jay Pharoah.”
Mitchelle who is described as a cool and funky First Lady, had previously performed a choreographed dance in a popular show, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, as part of her health and fitness campaign dubbed “Let’s Move!”
