Kenya’s Coronavirus cases have risen to 396. This is after 12 more cases were confirmed today.

Speaking today during a press conference, Health CAS Dr. Rashid Aman said the new cases are spread out across the country as follows; Mombasa- 7, Nairobi-3, Wajir-1 and Kitui 1.

In Nairobi, the three cases are spread out across Eastleigh, Fedha Estate and Kileleshwa while in Mombasa, the cases are spread out across Old Town(Kuze), Bondeni, Bomani and Kidunguni

The recent cases are from 777 samples tested in the last 24 hours across 14 counties in the country.

7 of the new cases were picked by the Ministry of Health’s disease surveillance team while 5 are from the designated quarantine centres.

At the same time, 15 patients have been discharged from various centres in the largest number of discharges in a single day since the pandemic was first reported in the country.

This now brings the total number of recoveries in the country to 144.

Two patients have also succumbed to the virus, bringing the total number of fatalities to 17.
