Kenyatta National Hospital Records High Number Of Nurses With COVID-19

Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) was among the first hospitals to receive the first patients when the Covid-19 pandemic struck in Kenya.

According to a recent report, eight nurses tested positive for COVID-19 in a span of 24 hours. They claim majority of the nurses in KNH lack the appropriate PPE’s required during their working hours hence leaving them utterly vulnerable to the virus.

Out of the 8 cases, majority are from the pediatric department while the rest are from the home-based care.

The country has over 11,000 confirmed cases of Covid-19 victims of which we should expect a rise day by day.
