Detectives in Bondo have arrested Jack Omolo, 25, after being accused of murdering his 10-month-old step-child under mysterious circumstances.
According to reports, the suspect kicked and killed the baby after he wet his matrimonial bed in April.
In an incident that has left locals speechless, he is accused of stuffing the child’s body into his wife’s carry-case before sending her away.
When the child’s mother arrived at her parents’ house, the child’s body was found, igniting a manhunt for the suspect, who had gone into hiding.
On Thursday night, May 20, Omollo was arrested in Nyang’oma sub-location within Central Sakwa location in Bondo sub-county.
According to Mr. William Oreme, acting chief of the Central Sakwa location, the suspect had been eluding police trap for the past month and had managed to elude capture.
The local chief stated that the suspect will be arraigned in court, and that investigation into the matter has already been completed.
