A man was allegedly brutalised by the police at muthingiini location, in Kibwezi East County on Monday night.
President Uhuru Kenyatta imposed a dusk to dawn curfew from 7pm to 5am across the country. Since then the brutality and use of excessive force by the police fostering the curfew has been put to question, with atleast 12 people killed by the police during the curfew enforcement.
The man was in a rush on Monday night to take her sick mother to the local hospital within Muthingiini location. But he was unlucky to meet the police officers on night duty.
It was at this point that the police allegedly descendiled on him beating him mercilessly and ribbing all the money he had and left him in pain along the road.
National Police Service spokesman Charles Owino had earlier said that the brutality by the police is not part of Kenya government policy and officers found to misbehave will be charged.
