Manchester City begun their 2020/2021 campaign in a style defeating Wolverhampton 3-1 at Molineux Stadium, wolves’ home ground.
Kevin De Bruyne opened the goal scoring account from the penalty spot putting the citizens ahead in the 20th minute of the match.
Young sensation Phil Foden widened the gap 12 minutes later with an assist from Raheem Sterling which stood as the difference into the first half.
Paul Jimenez scored Wolves’ only goal in the 78th minute with an assist from Daniel Podence in attempt to redeem themselves.
Guadiola’s boys were not stopping either, Gabriel Jesus cemented their victory ensuring they secure the three points assisted by Bruyne.
The matched appeared to be terrific with the Citizens being in control as they recorded 66% ball possession against 34% with 14 goal attempts and 90 shots on target against 18 and 1 respectively by Nuno Espirito’s side.
