Manchester United faced the Danish Side Copenhagen on Monday night 10 August 2020, on a one legged tournament courtesy of the COVID-19.
Normally the England outfit would meet the Danish side for a return leg to determine who proceeds to the next level of the competition.
Manchester United had 14 attempts on their opponents goal but Copenhagen did not manage to register a single shot on target after 120 minutes.
United eventually made the most of their dominance as they edged ahead from the penalty spot barely five minutes into extra time. Martial was fouled in the box and Fernandes duly smashed home the club’s 21st spot kick of the season.
The premier League club will be looking forward to facing either Wolves or Sevilla for a Place in the Europa League final.
