It has been three months since Citizen TV did an exposure on how the Mara officials have been embezzling money through the institution. The exposure was done by Spencer Sankale who said that he did not do it to be famous. ”When i decided to expose the money embezzling that was going on,i did it out of my own conviction not to get a platform for fame.” Sankale stated as one of the top financial officers in the institution, he observed that the money at the institution was missing he had some records to clarify his statement.
On a recent interview by citizen doing a follow up on the heist Sankale admits to have gone back to his normal life and work though he sometimes does not feel safe. The other two whistle blowers in the case though admit that they do not have the same pleasure as Sankale even after applying for the witness protection. ”The police and the government of Kenya has not done anything the assures us of our safety” The whistle blowers reported.
