Narc Kenya Party leader Martha Karau and former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka have been finally conferred with Senior Counsel tittle by President Uhuru Kenyatta.
On the list of 24 senior lawyers and advocates of the High Court released on Monday 20 July by State House spokesperson Kanze Dena Mararo, Fredrick Ngatia, Otiende Amollo and former Director of Public Prosecutions Philip Murgor were listed.
The rank of Senior Counsel is bestowed in accordance with the Committee on Senior Counsel, to Advocates of the High Court of Kenya who have proven themselves by rendering outstanding services in the Legal and Public Service arenas.
The head of state applauded the new Counsel and said the date of conferment will be communicated soon.
Kenya now has a total of 50 senior Counsel.
