Police in Nairobi started an investigation after a 34 year old woman’s body was found decomposing in a Lavington apartment two weeks after she allegedly went missing.
Sheila Mwirichia’s decomposing body was found in her Lavington Valley apartment in Nairobi after Nelson Akonyo, the caretaker of the estate, raised concerns about a foul smell coming from her house.
With the help of police officers, Akonyo broke down the door to Mwirichia’s house and found the deceased lying half-naked in the living room.
The incident was confirmed by police officers at the Muthangari Police Station after which the body was taken to Montezuma Funeral Home.
Cases of people dying mysteriously in their houses have been on the increase across the country in recent months. Another Woman was found dead after a house party in Kilimani, Nairobi on 17th July.
