Following a statement from the State House Spokesperson Kanze Dena, President Uhuru Kenyatta is set to have national-county meeting on Friday 24 July to address the state of the nation.

This is due to the surging cases of Covid-19 that have been experienced since the ban on cessation was lifted.

He is expected to review the measures already in place and the effects of lessening the restrictions that were in place will also be reviewed

“President Uhuru Kenyatta has convened the Fifth Extraordinary Session of the National and County Governments Coordinating Summit to be held on Friday, 24 July 2020. The Session  has been convened following a surge of #COVID19 infections across our Nation,” read the tweet from State House.

The statement also stated medical models on how COVID-19 may breed between August and September will be considered.

“His excellency  calls on all Kenyans to continue applying the simple but yet most effective individual and collective measures that are our nation’s best weapon against COVID-19,” read the statement.
