Raila Odinga was recently airlifted out of the country to Dubai while most people thought that he was in DRC on a meeting as he had posted it on his Twitter account. The news later spread when Dennis Itumbi hinted on his twitter account that Raila had flown out of the country leaving many Kenyans with questions. It was later confirmed by his family that he had to undergo a minor surgery.
According to his wife Ida Odinga, Raila was suffering from a nerve disorder that had been affecting one of his legs for a while now. Speaking to the Standard Media, Ida Odinga said that the surgery Raila was to undergo was successful and he was finally out of danger.
However, the sad news she broke was that Raila would not be coming back to the country any time soon as he had to be under the doctor’s care until he was given a clean bill of health.
Ida Odinga further lamented on the rumours circulating on the internet about her husband , “The rumours on Raila Odinga should be treated as contempt and should not be encouraged at all cost,” she said.
