Former MCA for North Kabuoch ward in Ndhiwa Sub county Rosemary Atieno Oluoch collapsed has died aged 44.

Rosemary popularly known as Dwasi was elected as the MCA on an ODM party in 2013.

She   was the only female elected member of homa bay county Assembly in 2013 general election.

She  was  alumni of Kenya Polytechnic in Nairobi had always admired the manner in which her role models like Charity Ngilu and Millie Odhiambo-Mabona went about playing politics at the national, regional and village level.

Oluoch a 2001 Diploma graduate in Information Communication and Technology (ICT) from Kenya Polytechnic. She had a one year stint at Utalii College as an intern as she looked at her career options.

Citizen Digital understands that Dwasi was pronounced dead upon arrival at Angiya dispensary where she was rushed to.

According to her husband Joel Ojuok, Dwasi was mopping her house when she suddenly collapsed and lost consciousness.

Ojuok said her wife had no sickness history and had not complained of any pain in her body.

Ojuok says that the former Homa Bay County Assembly legislator was rushed to Angiya dispensary by her relatives who were alerted by the house help.

In his message of condolence to the family of the late, Homa Bay County Deputy governor Hamilton Orata said Dwasi’s death came as a shock to many people as she has never been sick.

Her body was taken to Christamariane mortuary in Kisii County.

Rosemary’s demise comes less than two months after yet another ODM official collapsed and died on January 10.

ODM Party’s Isiolo County Women Chairlady, Sophia Ali Galgalo, had collapsed and was rushed to Nairobi South Hospital, where she passed on.
