A day after the re-opening of schools was pushed to January 2021, Education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha has urged schools to refund the second and third term fees to parents or forward it to next year on a mutual understanding.

The CS said there will be no Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) and Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examinations this year as they have all been re-scheduled to 2021.

It is a big blow to the parents as some schools already had programmes running; virtual learning on agreed fee.

students will be forced to repeat classes come next year. This is a result of the measure taken to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.
