Tahidi High’s Shish Lands New Role In South Africa

Tahidi High star Shirleen Wangari popularly known as Shis has landed a new role in South Africa and is set to star in a post-apocalyptic movie.

The actress is also set to produce a movie, Guatha, which is a slang word meaning ‘far away’ and is set to be shot in KwaZulu-Natal Province, South Africa.

Shish revealed her role in the film set to be shot by Untitled Films, which is based in three corners of Africa, Ghana in the West, Kenya in the East and South Africa.

The shooting of the film is set to begin in 2021 after delays caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Shish revealed that she is currently the only Kenyan in the cast but plans are underway to recruit actors from the country with the film expected to cost millions.

“At present, we have not involved other Kenyans but we definitely will, the idea is to bring great talents of the two countries together and make something epic. We have not locked the budget yet but it is definitely a high budget film because of the post-apocalyptic aspect,” she explained.
