The county assembly of Taita Taveta has been shut for 14 days after a staff member tested positive for Corona virus.
A statement released by Clerk Gadiel Maghanga said, the house will remain closed for two weeks awaiting further instructions by the health department.
It is also said members had taken a 3-week recess and set to resume sitting in September 3, 2020.
The MCAs and all staff members will undergo another test for Covid-19 once they resume for sittings.
She also noted people close to the patient have been sent to a mandatory self-quarantine as per the MOH protocols.
