The salary remuneration commission has opposed the new Bill passed by the National Assembly in a move to award retired MPs sh 100,000 monthly pension.
SRC treasurery said the country can not afford such a huge pay out since the move will tend to incite other civil servants to demand the same hence a burden to the tax payers.
The controversial Bill caused a major uproar among Kenyans terming the National Assembly useless as it seemed they no longer worked for the interest of common Mwananchi.
