The president issued a directive to stop the movement of Cabinet Secretaries touring counties in a bid to Curb the spread of COVID-19.

The instructions came after a report emerged that some three CSs had tested positive for the virus and had gone into self-isolation.

The movement ban will be in place for the next 14 days amid claims, they draw attentions of large crowds which increase the risks of spreading Coronavirus.

Among those who are likely to be affected with the ban are Dr. Fred Matiangi, Joe Mucheru, Mutahi Kagwe, Ukur Yatani and Adan Mohammed where they were to visit Marsabit county as from July 22.

Peter Munya, John Munyes and Eugene Wamalwa who were on a tour in Western Kenya have cancelled their meetings too.

Also members of the Executive were ordered to work from home and report to the office when it was necessary.
