The Uwezo Fund Oversight Board has cautioned the public against paying money for processing the kitty’s application forms.
In a statement, the board says a group of con women have been defrauding unsuspecting members of the Public 375 shillings to allegedly process Uwezo Fund Applications Forms.
The statement says the group led by Lydia Ogutu, who poses as a Senior Accounts Manager, the fraudsters are misleading members of the public that they could apply online as individuals for Uwezo Fund loans parting with 375 shillings in ledger fee after which they will get the money starting July 15th.
Uwezo Fund warns the public not to pay any money to anyone to allegedly facilitate processing of the application forms since they can be downloaded free of charge from its website, www.uwezo.go.ke or obtained from all Constituency Development Fund (CDF) Offices countrywide as well as from the Uwezo Fund Board headquarter offices in Nairobi.
Members of the public have been urged to report the fraudsters to the nearest Police Station or to the Uwezo Fund Oversight Board Secretariat.
