Bett tett’s son hit the headlines way back in 2011 after he robbed his parents at gunpoint at their home in Karen,a crime which earned him a death sentence but since then,David William Tett is still giving the Tetts’ a headache from behind the prison walls saying that he had been framed with the robbery and wants the parents to produce legal certification which formalized his adoption.
As it turns out,David is not a biological son of the Tetts and was adopted by the former assistant minister,Mrs Tett,from the mama Fatuma Goodwill childrens home.David William Tett who had lodged an appeal seeking his release on bail told the High Court in Nairobi that the reason for his arrest, fabrication of evidence, and subsequent conviction by a magistrate, arose solely from a petty family feud between him and the family. “It is the accused contention that his parents view him as a black sheep of the family and a failure
