World Health Organization Executive Director Dr. Mike Ryan has said that coronavirus may become just another virus in the world community like HIV/AIDS, and may never go away.
The WHO Executive Director reports that nations should be prepared to accept and live with the virus.
“This virus just may become another endemic virus in our communities and this virus may never go away. HIV has not gone away,” Dr Ryan, executive director of the WHO health emergencies program was quoted as saying by CNN.
“I am not comparing the two diseases but I think it is important that we are realistic. I do not think anyone can predict when or if this disease will disappear,” Ryan added.
The government may now be forced to bring the curfew into an end following the reports given by the WHO Executive Director.
Following the outbreak of the deadly pandemic Corona Virus in December 2020 in Wuhan China. The pandemic has brought a halt of many activities worldwide.
Governments in different countries have introduced different measures to help curb the Coronavirus.
One of the measures given by the Governments includes lockdown in various countries as well as curfew measures.
In Kenya, the government introduced the dusk to dawn curfew.The government has also locked entry into some of the major towns in Kenya where there is high spread of the virus.
Citizens are eager to hear what the government will say. Wether the curfew will end on Saturday 16th May following reports by WHO.
