Dar es Salaam. After all the talk and sometimes what almost got close to sheer jealousy, the Zari ‘All White Party’ happened.
What started as a wedding photo shoot that got the whole social media abuzz finally materialized as one of those projects that the socialite and her associates have been on.
She has held these parties in different parts of the world each with a distinctive name to go with it, from London to Kampala and, as I am told, this one is under the Johnnie Walker Gold Label which is the official drink.
They have become crowd pullers wherever she goes and from the buzz on the social media this one is likely to attract just as much attention as those in the past.
The last one which was held in Kampala came at the heat of the Project and as we are informed Diamond was the chief guest on that night in the Pearl Of Africa.
Celebrities from across the region are arriving in numbers and as confirmed, Kenyan socialite Hudah Monroe and comedian Eric Omondi will be in house as well, others have come from Zari’s home country, Uganda.
Forget about the recent threats of Xenophobia, South Africa’s Aka will also be in the house for a performance alongside other celebrated performers.
There is indeed every sign that we are in for the party of the year as christened by those behind the do as socialites in the city shop around for the dress code of the night.
In fact, some have gone as far as displaying their great taste for crisp white line on Instagram and other social platforms.
Already there is a heavy corporate presence with Coca Cola, Vodacom throwing their weights behind the gig which shall also stream live from the Mlimani City Conference Hall.
There are reasons as to why people are out to get the tickets for this party especially the VIP ones.
When this project was first hatched (God knows from which board room), not many thought it would get where it has and now, with a baby bump on display there is every reason to say it is heading towards a logical conclusion.
