Three men Cyrus Elijah Mwanzia, Benjamin Munyoki and Benson Musyoka Ikii stood before the court on Tuesday, November 10, and were brought up on charges of burglary and stealing stationery worth ksh.342,000 from the Nairobi Metropolitan Services offices.

The stationery is said to have been packed in 26 cartons containing 400 pieces of pens and photocopy papers.

An NMS official raised the alarm after the gang breached into the offices leading his colleagues to arrest the three.

The three are suspected to be part of the gang that infiltrated General Mohammed Badi’s offices at the Kenyatta International Convention Center (KICC).

Two suspects, Cyrus Mwanzia and Benson Musyoka, were reported to have been found hiding inside the store on the 25th floor.

Since then, the police have launched a search operation for the rest of the gang members who are in hiding.

Benson Musyoka, Cyrus Elijah Mwanizia and  Benjamin Munyoki denied the charges brought against them and were released on Ksh 100,000 cash bail or Ksh 200,000 bond.
