A Woman In South Nyanza Has Buried Her Child Alive After Domestic Dispute

A woman from south Nyanza, Rachuonya east county buried her child alive after a domestic dispute.

She buried her one-year-old child purporting that her husband had threatened her.

There is no clear reason for their dispute but neighbours in Karachuonya Kopiyo village believe the dispute is as a result of the woman having a child out of wedlock while the husband was working in Kisumu for over a year.

The man said he had left home 2 years ago and there was no intimacy between them during this period.

Allegedly the woman is said to have strangled her kid with a piece of cloth and buried her in a cassava plantation near her house.

The body of the child was exhumed and later buried, she then left to her maternal home with her remaining three children.

The woman is said to be missing after receiving news the police officers are after her.
