The ex-Makadara member of parliament Benson Mutura, has been endorsed by Jubilee party members as the next speaker of Nairobi county Assembly.
The endorsement of Benson Mutura came to light after 65 members of county assembly from the jubilee fraternity were summoned by party secretary Raphael Tuju.
This came after Beatrice Elachi resigned as the speaker citing intimidation and threats. She also had experienced numerous attempts of impeachment as the speaker.
Elachi on her resignation appointed her deputy John Kamangu for the position as they wait for election which is to happen tomorrow.
Nairobi county has experienced drama from the signing of six government functions to the National government.
