On Wednesday, December 9, Brookside Dairy started the process of paying Ksh100 million in bonuses to farmers.
The company, headed by Muhoho Kenyatta, paid bonuses under the incentive scheme to farmers who supply the company with raw milk suppliers across the country.
The rewards target groups of farmers who have attained negotiated supply volume goals and raw milk quality specifications for deliveries made to the processor.
John Gethi , Brookside milk procurement and producer director, urged farmers to enroll to the Raw Milk Bonus Program, which began in 2018.
“The payout is not only a demonstration of our commitment to partnership with our farmers but also a show of business resilience in an exceptionally difficult economic year
“The attribute of quality in our dairy products cannot be achieved without the involvement of our farmers in the production and supply of quality raw milk,” John Gethi said.
