Coronavirus cases in Kenya rise to 110

The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Kenya has risen to 110. The number rose by 29 yesterday as announced by CS Mutahi Kagwe.

Health CS Mutahi Kagwe said on Thursday that 28 Kenyans had tested positive for the new coronavirus.

A Congolese national also tested positive, bringing the total to 29.

The testing, Citizen Digital understands, is being conducted on 2050 people who are in mandatory quarantine in several isolations facilities.

In the last 24 hours, 662 samples- the highest number tested in the country in a single day- were tested.

The number of deaths from Coronavirus has risen to 3 while the numbers of recoveries has risen to 4.

During a briefing Thursday, the CS unveiled a new measure to curb the spread of the deadly virus. He announced that all public transport users will be required to wear face masks when travelling.

CS Kagwe further added that the affected people were from Nairobi county and Mombasa.
