CS Mutahi Kagwe: Masks From China Are Fake.

Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe has revealed the masks imported from china to help in the fight against COVID-19 failed quality checks.

While addressing the media in Kisumu during the daily Covid-19 update, he claimed the failed test masks were analyzed by Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS).

Adding that the locally made Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) were of great quality compared to the imported ones, he urged citizens to embrace the locally manufactured PPEs.

He however did not specify which of the PPEs received failed the test as  earlier on the country had received donations from Chinese businessman Jack Ma.

The CS also warned doctors issuing negative certificate for death as a result of the virus, to enable the families hold normal burials.
