Donald Trump announced on Twitter that the corona virus drug will start testing in New York and Twitter users have mixed reactions.
There was a Florida man who allegedly was a Corona Virus victim. Rio Giardinieri, 52, claimed that the anti-malaria drug he took, which was touted by Trump as a possible treatment, saved his life.
“To me, there was no doubt in mind that I wouldn’t make it until morning,” said Giardinieri. “So to me, the drug saved my life.”
Trump went ahead and shared his success by sharing the link to the report and said that the drug will start rolling out . With New York having a 5x more infection rate than any other state in the USA, its said that that is where he will start unveiling the drug.
The World Health Organization (WHO), have been experimenting also on the antimalarial drug Trump has rolled out as a cure for Corona. The drug called Chloroquine is sire to prevent the spread of the disease as well as another drug called, Ritonavir and lopinavir used by HIV patients.
While so many scientist are on research making further recommendations for testing. let’s hope this promising drugs outlined by WHO leads to success against the corona virus outbreak.
