DP William Ruto Speaks After Feisal Bader’s Msambweni Win

On Wednesday, December 16, Deputy President William Ruto spoke after independent candidate Feisal Bader won the Msambweni by-election.

Ruto supported Bader after the Jubilee Party chose not to contest for the Mswambweni parliamentary by-election. The Deputy President applauded Bader on his victory and said that victory is a plus for democracy and the will of the people.

IEBC declared Feisal the winner of the by-election after garnering 15,251 votes against ODM’s candidate Boga 10,444 votes from all the 129 polling stations.

“Congratulation my friend Feisal Bader. Your win cements our trust in God and the people. Democracy and people power have triumphed.

“Watu wa Msambweni Mungu awabariki (God bless you, Msambweni people). Pongezi (Congratulations) E.Mwihaki(Gaturi), S.Wanango(Lakeview), K.Ochieng( Wendani) and all winners. To others, there’s next time,” the DP stated.

Ruto further took the time to commend the MCAs that won their respective by-elections, including the People’s Empowerment Party nominee Esther Mwihaki, who won the Gaturi Ward representative seat.
