Police officer who was charged with the murder of Yassin Moyo was accused by an investigative officer today from (IPOA) for lying to the court on corona virus-related case and visiting Mbagathi hospital for treatment.
“I as the investigating officer having received the orders from the court proceeded to Mbagathi and received information from the management of the hospital that they had not treated the accused that day as alleged,” reads the application.
Duncan Ndiema’s case was to be heard way early but was postponed to Tuesday where he was charged with the murder of Yassin Moyo a 13-year-old boy who was shot in the stomach during the implementation of dusk to dawn curfew.
The police officer was yesterday taken to capitol hill police after pleading not guilty. During his bail hearing today, Duncan Ndiema has been accused of witness intimidation and harassment using proxies, said the family of Yassin Moyo.
IPOA has requested the court to deny Duncan Ndiema bail under the basis of witness harassment.
