FC Barcelona suffered a humiliating defeat of 8-2 in the hands of The German outfit, Bayern Munich last night.

Thomas Muller opened the goal hunting spree for Bayern barely 4 minutes after the kick off but was equalized in the 7th minute when Alaba unfortunately scored in his own goal.

Ivan Perisic didn’t hesitate to restore Bayern’s lead by scoring in the 22nd minute. Thomas added his second goal of the match in the 31st minute adding his tally of 46 Champions Leagues goals.

Luis Suarez managed to score the second goal for Barcaleno in 57′ but it was too much to handle. Rober  Lewandoski, the polish who has been in a magical form this season wasn’t going to miss appearing in the score sheet. In 82nd minute he added a goal.

Philipe Cotinho was brought in and he never failed to impress as he haunted his parent club Barcelona by scoring in the 85′ and 89′

It was a bad night in the office for the Cartalana to suffer such record breaking defeat. The UCL semi-finals will not feature Lionel Messi and Ronaldo for the first time since 2004/05 after the latter was eliminated.

Bayern Munich joins PSG and RB Leipzig as the clubs to have qualified for the UEFA Champions League semi-finals.
