The 91-year-old former vice president, Moody Awori has been selected as member of the lake region Economic Bloc’s COVID-19 Inter-county Advisory and Resource Mobilization Committee.
The Lake region economic bloc is composed of 14 counties including Migori, Kisii, Siaya, Nyamira, Busia, Kakamega, Vihiga, Bomet, Kisumu and Homa bay.
Moody Awori was among the 21 members appointed to join the committee by chairperson Wycliffe Oparanya.
The committee is said to be chaired by Khama Rogo, who is the head of health specialist at World Bank and World Bank Group’s Health in Africa Initiative.
Other members in the committee include: Former Auditor General Edward Ouko, Sportsman Eliud Kipchoge and Human rights lawyer Catherine Mumma.
