Njambi Koikai suffers from Thoracic Endometriosis – a condition that causes lungs to collapse regularly.

The disease which started as extremely painful cramps in her teens and often being dismissed by doctors that it was normal and that she would get better after she had her first child. Years of misdiagnosis led her to find a solution for her pain and she was finally diagnosed with an extreme case of thoracic endometriosis.

Njambi recently took to Instagram thanking God for helping her fight battles to where she is now. She went ahead to reveal that dealing with a condition called Adenomyosis.

You can never STOP GOD’S TIMING.
Faught battles to be where i am today. I’ve stood firm. I don’t renege in my belief and my God. Nuff respect to @selectortechnix for always doing this with me over the years. I didn’t get on the mic juzi. Well trained from downtown reggae clubs that many don’t have the opportunity to experience because they’ve all been shut down.
I also went to Uni to study broadcasting and a whole load of stuff that i don’t use.
This doesn’t come easy. It’s taken me years of blood, sweat, tears, rejection and pain. So when you see me on that stage, it’s years of hard struggle. Like i said earlier, i will share MY Kenyan reggae story, when the time is right. Mine.
Now, Endometriosis ate up my right lung and has left some crazy damage that I’ve been trying to recover from. I’m also dealing with a condition called Adenomyosis. Not easy at all. Some will never understand but I’m here to show you that pain doesn’t define any of us, you can be free and still rise from the ashes.
There’s POWER from pain, She wrote.
