KCB Mvita temporarily closed down after an employee tested positive for Coronavirus

The KCB Mvita branch in Mombasa has been temporarily closed after one of the staff members at the bank tested positive for Coronavirus.

KCB CEO Joshua Oigara said the Branch will remain closed for three days with the approval of the Central Bank of Kenya to enable immediate cleaning and disinfection of the premises.

“Our priority remains safeguarding the safety and well-being of all our staff, customers and other stakeholders during these difficult times.” said Oigara.

The KCB CEO further stated that employees who were working with the male patient are currently undergoing counselling and screening to ensure their safety and well-being.

“As the fight against this pandemic continues, we have taken several precautionary measures internally, in line with the guidelines issued by government agencies. We continue to provide support to staff and their families during this period of the pandemic” he added.

Customers have been advised to seek services from nearby branches.
