Police and local authorities in Keroka are currently in a manhunt for a man identified as Jared who is at large after killing his own mother in cold blood.
Residents of Keroka sub county in Kisii County are still confused as a man they were helping to put out fire that was burning down his house pushes mum inside the house on fire, locks the door and take to his heels dissappearing into the thin air.
According to the accounts of the eye witnesses, the suspect’s house was on fire, with the cause of the fire still unknown. So the neighbors and relatives rushed to help him put it out.
During the process of putting out the fire which was now at a mild state, Jared pushed his mother into the house and closed the door, then ran off.
Nobody bothered to follow him as their attention was now shifted to saving the woman, something that they failed at as the woman was burnt beyond recognition dying in the process.
The reason for the suspect’s action is still unknown as he didn’t have any quarrels with the deceased and seemed to be getting along very well until that moment.
The Keroka police boss when speaking to stated that the matter is saddening and they are currently pursuing the culprit. And the police are also doing investigations on what might have been the cause of the incident.
