The body of a 14-year-old student undertaking Kenya Certificate of Primary Education(KCPE) candidate,  was recovered after being reported as missing on Sunday, March 21.

Beatrice Gesare slipped and fell at a railway bridge in Michina area. The area assistant chief, Kennedy Kiago, confirmed the death terming the incident as unfortunate.

According to the parents, the 14-year-old  had been sent to the shop shortly after attending a church service in the neighbourhood.

She went missing the same afternoon and efforts to trace her were not fruitful.

Her father, David Nyaminja, termed her as jovial and hardworking. He added , her dream to become a teacher had been prematurely shattered.

The accident is however not the first accident to happen in the scene. Area residents have raised concerns before about the deadly bridge that has in the past four months claimed the lives of three people as seven others recuperate.
