Bernard Onyango Obonyo travelled to the countryside where he got ill and passed away in st Jairus hospital.
Abbeny was suffering from pneumonia and after a series of medication, he later succumbed to the disease.
He was born in 1987 in Kisumu county where’s he started his music career playing instruments at the age of 21.
Being mentored by other Luo musicians like lady Maurine and Jakedenge, Abbeny Jachiga started his own band and for along period of time, he played at Gwara Gwara club in Kisumu.
After some time the hit singer of Mano Kasinde moved to Nairobi and mentored many other artists including his own brother.
