A man identified as Augustus Munyalo alias Mose has been arraigned in Kibera Law Courts after being accused of false publication contrary to computer misuse and cyber crime Act.
The political activist was accused of having published false information and abuses against former Vice president Kalonzo Musyoka in Whatsapp group.
Appearing before the court on 11 August, Munyalo was accused for having published false information on Whatsapp on July 17 as reported by Nairobi News.
The suspect is said to have wrote to group members that Kalonzo had secret plans to ouster Ngilu from her office via an impeachment.
However Munyalo did not take plea after his lawyer argued the case be transferred to Kitui where the said offence had taken place and witnesses were.
The prosecutor through state counsel Obiri defended his arraignment in the city court saying Munyalo lived in Nairobi and had gone into hiding at Kitui where the detectives fished him out.
The senior Magistrate Charles Mwaniki however gave in to the suspect’s lawyer request and ordered the prosecution team facilitate his transfer to Kitui Law Courts.
