Mike sonko Goes Ham On Director General Mohammed Badi

Nairobi County Governor, Mike Sonko and the Director General Mohammed Badi seem to be having a beef brewing between them. This comes after a number of the county operations were transferred to the national government and named ‘Nairobi Metropolitan Services’ headed by Major General Mohammed Badi.

Even though Sonko did remain quiet, he recently seemed to have had enough as he took to one of his social media handles where he blasted General Badi.

“My friend stop this nonsensical behaviour of insulting me, why forcefully take the official Nairobi County Governor’s residence & ceremonial vehicle? We’re not in competition, kindly let’s focus on service delivery to the Great people of Nairobi…
“If you want to fight go to Somalia and fight with Alshabab and if you want to become the Governor wait for 2022 to vie. Whether you’re a military man or not, you must respect the rule of law as provided for in Article 187 (2) (b) which stipulates Constitutional responsibility for the performance of the function or exercise of the power shall remain with the government to which it is assigned by the Fourth Schedule.”

This all took place after Sonko tried renovating Nairobi but Badi directed to have the move ‘sealed off’ on claims it was within NMS property.
