Nigth Fire Reduces Acres Of Vegetation To Ashes At Tsavo National Park

The Kenya Wildlife Services (KWS) has reported several acres of land in Tsavo Conservation area have been burnt down.

The fires erupted on Wednesday July 22 in three sets with the first destroying vegetation in Taita Ranches adjacent to the Tsavo East National Park which was later extinguished.

The second one broke in the the southern part of Tsavo West National Park in Kikundunu part of Chyulu National Park.

“Three sets of fire have been reported in Tsavo conservation area; the first one in Taita ranches adjacent to Tsavo East National Park. This was put off before enchroaching into the park.

Efforts are ongoing to put off` the second one in the Southern Part of Tsavo West National Park at. The third fire broke out in Kikunduku part of Chyulu National park at 7.30 last evening and also is being fought by our teams,” the statement from KWS read.
