Kirinyaga County Governor Waiguru is yet under fire after the Ethics and Anti- Corruption Commission brought a new charge on her. This comes after EACC launched an investigations on to the governor’s mode of doing business.
The new trial ended up opening new charges to the governor as the imprest amounted to a total of Kshs 6 million which could be seen as usage of tax payers money in an inappropriate way.
The news was revealed by KBC Channel through their Twitter account where they said, “Kirinyaga County Governor Waiguru was on Wednesday grilled by the Ethics and Anti- Corruption Commission over alleged illegal claims of travel imprests amounting to Kshs 6 million.”
The governor has been under investigation by the EACC after numerous cases emerged against her on corruption. From the preliminary fight with her Members of County Assembly on the ground, to a higher level in court to face the senate and to a trial by Members of County Assembly to dissolve the county.
