Governor Okoth Obado’s daughter Evelyn Obado has been arrested for allegedly embezzling Ksh. 73.5 million taxpayers money. She was questioned at the EACC offices in Kisii.
The Director of Public Prosecutions on Tuesday ordered the arrest of Obado and his four children over alleged theft of funds.
Governor Obado was driven from Kisii to Nairobi after his surrender. He has another pending murder case for allegedly killing a pregnant woman who is claimed to have been his girlfriend by then.
Other people charged with the embezzlement of funds are his other three children Dan Achola and Jerry Zachary as well as his other daughter Susan Scarlett.
