A family mourns the death of their relative who died following a tragic accident along the Mombasa-Nairobi Highway on Sunday, 8 November.
The patient was being transferred in an ambulance to the Coast General Hospital for specialized treatment when the accident occurred.
Reports suggested that the patient had been admitted at Moi Referral Hospital in Voi before plans were made for him to be transferred to another facility.
The driver of the ambulance reportedly lost control of the vehicle and rolled several times.
The patient was rushed back to Moi Referral Hospital after the accident where he is said to have succumbed to the injuries he sustained.
There was also a relative to the deceased in the car and the medical staff, all of whom were injured and rushed to Moi Referral Hospital for treatment.
