Pilot Dies In Chopper Crash At Isinya

On Thursday, November 19, a chopper crashed at Isinya, Kajiado county, leading to the death of a pilot.

The helicopter crashed at Kenya Aviation Training School with reports claiming the pilot was from the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS).

A representative of the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority reported that the accident happened on Thursday morning.

“We have information of the accident, but we are not in a position to disclose the specifics of the accident,” said the official.

According to the eyewitness, the crash occurred during a routine training exercise, with the chopper exploding into flames as soon as it hit the ground.

Investigations have since been launched to ascertain the cause of the accident.

The number of passengers on the chopper was not clear with contradictory reports suggesting that the pilot was in the company of another man, while others said that the pilot was all alone.
