Earlier today there ware demonstrations in Gikomba by the traders. The protests were as a result of the mitumba ban lifted by president Uhuru and not implemented by CS Betty Maina.
The ban was put in place to curb the spread of Coronavirus earlier this year. Later on the president lifted the ban and it has not been implemented since by CS Betty Maina.
