Raila Odinga’s Statement To Doctors Causes Uproar

Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga made strong remarks following the statement on the planned medical strike.

“Doctors need to be more understanding, we are in crisis at the momen, people are dying, it’s not only doctors who are dying. We are in a dire situation as the economy is hurting during the Covid-19 pandemic.” the ODM party leady stated.

Kenyans online were outraged by the statement terming it as insensitive.

“Conman Raila Odinga’s callous statement that ‘it’s not only doctors who are dying’ as a way of justifying the theft and criminal diversion of billions of public money meant for Personal Protective Equipment by #BBINonsense advocates elevates Raila to the realm of A WILD ANIMAL.” Lawyer Miguna Miguna wrote on twitter.

KMPDU chairperson Dr. Samuel Oroko critisized politicians for making insensitive remarks against health workers.

“This nonsense of people dismissing issues raised by health care workers is insensitive…tulirigogwa na nani (who bewitched us?)..it is extremely painful,” he stated.
