On Tuesday, December 8, the Nairobi Metropolitan Services (NMS) announced that alternative buses were ready to availed to commuters entering the Nairobi Central Business District (CBD).
The Buses will be used by commuters who terminate their journey at the Green Park Terminus located at the Railways Club on Haile Selassie Road.
NMS has announced that riders can now use dedicated cycling paths and walkways to travel to and from the CBD bus terminus.
“Buses will be available for passengers who will prefer not to walk from the termini to the city centre and vice-versa.
“Commuters can also use the Non-Motorised Transport Corridors (NMT) which have both cycleways and walkways to and from the CBD,” a statement from NMS read in part.
The Green Park terminus is planned to benefit matatus along Ngong Road and Lang’ata Road (Kawangware, Kikuyu, Kibera, Lang’ata, Rongai, Kiserian).
