Kevin Bahati, a gospel artiste, has done what most musicians haven’t done in Kenya. He came up with his own show about his daily life and the things he goes through. It used to be a good show then it changed its name from Being Bahati to Bahati reality.

The Bahati reality show, at first used to be aired every Saturday 7.30 PM to 8.00 PM but got changed to being aired on Wednesday’s night at 10 PM.

Bahati even posted about this saying, “PUBLIC NOTICE KWA GAZETTE #BAHATIREALITY NEW SEASON & CHANGE IN PROGRAMMING!!! NOW EVERY WEDNESDAY AT 10PM ONLY ON NTV STARTING TONIGHT!!! – We’ve Been the Most Watched Show On Saturdays Now Let’s Break Another Record – THIS WILL BE THE MOST WATCHED SHOW EVERY WEDNESDAY STARTING TONIGHT AT 10PM.

Then it changed from Wednesday’s to Sunday nights. The show used to be real until they changed the name of the show.

Even though Bahati kept saying that his show is hugely a hit on NTV, this is not the case as it has been hugely not watched and received some poor ratings and now people seem to be saying enough is enough.

Fans have gotten tired of the show, with many declaring it the last programme they would want to watch on Kenyan television.

Its rating were so bad that when NTV wanted to take the show off Bahati offered to pay the station just to keep it in air.

Bahati has also received backlash for doing things on the show that are seen as a cry for better ratings and views on Youtube.

Introducing his first baby mama to the show,Yvette Obura , was seen by many fans as a way of trying to add more drama to it. It has also occurred to fans that the singer is really trying to push the good Samaritan personality on the show.

The singer has been showcasing very poor families and their dilapidated state while offering to help them, painting the picture of a kind man helping out the less fortunate in the society.

Bahati had even gone ahead and showcased himself handing over a car to Denno, a gospel artiste, claiming that that was his own effort when really a bunch of CEO’s had contributed to giving Denno the gift.

This isn’t to say that the ‘Being Bahati’ reality show is dreadful. It’s not. There are just a few exasperating elements in it. Lately, Kenyans have noticed that some portions of the show are too unrealistic.

In a recent episode, Bahati’s wife Diana hired a new houseboy who ended up doing some terrible acting that could make 50 Cent look like Al Pacino.

In another episode, Bahati changed his hairstyle for the first time since he was born. He had switched to dreadlocks but Diana ended up cutting them while he was asleep, like the biblical Delilah.

Could this be the reason why Bahati has lacked ideas lately? Were the ideas located in his hair?We are waiting to see what action will be taken on this matter by NTV.
