Sauti Sols Cancellation and How they Handle People Throwing Shade at Them

The rising cases of Corona Virus in Kenya still, seems like this pandemic has affected from businesses to entertainment too.

Sauti Sol sure do know this as they had to cancel their Europe tour following the outbreak of the disease.

But they came forth with another idea that was worth plausible.

They decided that on the 28th of this month they would do a live band and stream it to their fans live.

But it turns out that again this won’t happen after they took to social media to postpone it.

The all-man band after an interview with the press they said, “FOLLOWING THE CANCELLATION OF OUR UK TOUR DATE AT JAZZ CAFE ON THE 28TH WE WERE OPTIMISTIC THAT WE COULD STREAM TO YOU A LIVE CONCERT ON YOUTUBE TO MAKE UP FOR THE DISAPPOINTMENT. ”
They then went ahead and added that, “UNFORTUNATELY, WITH THE RISING CASES OF COVID-19, WE MUST CANCEL THE YOUTUBE CONCERT SCHEDULED FOR THIS SATURDAY, MARCH 28.”

A fan went ahead and tried to throw shade at the boy band asking, ‘kwani virus iko transmitted online?’ The boy Band gave such a mature answer that I can’t fail t applaud them.

They replied saying, ‘streaming a live performance requires a sizeable crew, band and team members to pull it off.

It would be irresponsible of us to risk their lives and that of their families. We must look out for each other in this unprecedented times.
